Describe a piece of news that local people are interested in.You should say:
What it was about
When and where you saw/heard the news
who was involved
And explain why people were interested in it
话题分析
这是一道事物类的旧题，要讲的是本地人感兴趣的新闻，虽然划分到事物类当中，但是答题逻辑也可以按照经历类（时间、地点、人物、感悟）来布局。最新的爆炸新闻是真的贼多，但是也不建议大家都赶着大新闻事件去写，很容易撞主题，而且本题的出题目的也是希望落脚在接地气的新闻上。
那在选题的时候，主要注意的关键词是“local people”和“interested in”，新闻稍微“旧”一点没关系，但是要体现出本地人感兴趣的特点。
第一小问“What it was about”这则新闻内容是什么
我们先想一下有些什么新闻：财经新闻、科技新闻、体育新闻、娱乐新闻、政策新闻、民生新闻、灾难性新闻。
描述一则新闻，里面可以包含什么时间、哪个主体、发布的什么新闻内容。
第二小问“When and where you saw/heard the news”你是什么时候在哪里看到的这则新闻
上一个小问讲到过新闻发布的时间，这个小问可以具体描述你看到新闻时候的途径和状态。途径比如你是看电视时候看到的、刷微博/朋友圈/公众号时候看到的、还是听别人说的新闻。状态比如是早上在上班的地铁里，还是晚上吃完饭在家里沙发上，或是坐在教室里刷手机的时候，总之越有画面感就越真实。
第三小问“who was involved “这条新闻涉及到的人是谁
这里需要详细展开新闻的涉及到的个人/群体，可以从他（们）的身份、做了什么行为、产生了什么结果、有什么品质出发
第四小问“explain how you felt about this news”你对此有什么感受
大家感兴趣的点大概率也就是这些：和自己的利益切身相关（财经新闻、民生新闻、政策新闻、灾难性新闻）、猎奇八卦（娱乐新闻、民生新闻）、惋惜心痛/愤怒（娱乐新闻、民生新闻、灾难性新闻）、感动自豪（科技新闻、体育新闻）
In a fine morning a few weeks ago, I turned on the TV, like any other usual day, this news was aired on one of our local TV channels and it really caught my eyes.
The news was related to the tough life of an old man, in his early 70’s, who earns his living by selling plastic bottles in Shanghai. The news also mentioned that he remains unmarried all his life and he has no children to look after him. Ironically enough though, he never seeks any help from anybody to survive. Of course, a lot of people had tried to help him, but he refused to accept their help, apparently because he thought it was a disgrace to accept other peoples’ help and that he was very happy living like that for over the last 30 years. What moved me most was that it is he who has helped many helpless and poor people with the very insignificant amount of money that he earns by selling plastic bottles.
As for why people were interested in this piece of news. Well, first of all, his steel-strong determination and the spirit of never giving up deeply inspired us, and I have realized that those people who we perceive as worthless because of their purposeless life seem to have a greater sense of self-respect. On top of that, the news also taught people that it doesn’t really take much money to heal and help others, but it is the heart of a person, which is needed the most.
