  If a kid doesn’t want to learn a new instrument because of ongoing practice, do you think it is better for parents to force them to learn or let kids decide whether to learn?
  I would say it is better for kids to decide whether they want to learn instead of forcing them. Giving them freedom means that the kids have a sense of control, which in turn serves as motivation for kids. They will work hard and spend more time to practice the instrument since they are responsible for their own choice. In this way, kids will be likely to master the instrument. However, if parents give them too much pressure and force them to learn against their will, they will get bored and be fed up with practicing the instrument.
