托福独立写作中教育类话题加分词句

独立写作作为一个输出型考试，输入和积累就是拿高分必不可少的前提条件（prerequisite），但很多同学在这方面做得还不够好（尤其是生活经验少、平时又很难有机会用手机电脑的年纪比较小的娃），所以今天就趁机会给大家分享一些教育类话题下我们可以用的一些比较好的表达。
I、字字珠玑
1.nine-year compulsory education 九年制义务教育
·compulsory: adj.必须做的，强制性的
此处插播一道高中政治简答题：【小学生小明今天不想上学，他跟妈妈说：“受教育是我的权利，我可以放弃。”请问小明说得对妈？】
参考答案：不对。因为小学是义务教育阶段，受教育既是权利，又是义务，权利可以放弃，义务必须履行。
因此，此处用compulsory这个词就很好理解了。
我想起2016年3月13日的某一天写作课，讲了个“应试教育”。班上的涂DH同学默默说了句：“应试教育就是义务教育。”另一位楼JW同学纠正：“不一样的，应试教育是以考试为目标的教育，而义务教育是只能去义乌小商品市场接受的教育。”
听到前半句还甚感欣慰的为师一腔热血瞬间化为胆固醇……那么，“应试教育”的正经说法应该是什么呢？
2.exam-oriented education 应试教育
·n-oriented: adj.以……为方向的
类似表达：money-oriented, health-oriented, team-oriented, environment-oriented....
Eg. 面对着经济发展和科技进步，人们不得不承认为了跟上社会的快节奏以及让他们自己在这个以科技为导向的社会中处于有利地位而保持高效的重要性。
Confronted with economic boom and technological progression, people have to admit the significance of keeping high efficiency in order to keep hasty life rhythm and place themselves in a favorable position in the technology-oriented society.
3.quality-oriented education/ quality education 素质教育
既然提到了应试教育，那就不得不提到总是跟它如双胞胎似地出现的“素质教育”。应试教育以考试为目标，而素质教育则旨在培养德、智、体、美、劳全面发展的学生。
4.morals, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, work 德、智、体、美、劳
5.combine political integrity with professional competence 德才兼备
6.excellency in character learning 品学兼优
后面这三个都可以用来形容素质教育培养出来的人才。
II、句句锦绣
1.China s educational system consists of preschool education, nine-year compulsory education,high-school education, vocational education, higher education and continuing education. 中国的教育体系分为学前教育、九年义务教育、高中阶段教育、职业教育、高等教育、继续教育。
好多真题在想理由或者对主体段内容展开的时候都需要我们描述教育现状（体系、政策、个人意愿、覆盖率等等），比如：
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are now easier to become educated than in the past. （2012.11.24/ 2014.03.16/ 2020.01.04/ 2020.08.26）
但是同学们可能只了解基础教育和高等教育。其实，我国的教育体系覆盖很广，各个年龄段都有囊括进去，真正面向“终身教育”、做到了“人民任何时候想上学都可以”。因此，上面几个概念，同学们还是可以积累一下的。
2.Education makes a people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to slave. 教育使一国之人民易于领导，但难于驱使；易于治理，却不可能奴役。
*注意：这里的people指的是“民族”，所以前面才可以加冠词a
3.Education is fundamental to a country’s enduring prosperity. 教育是兴国之本，是百年大计。
·endure:
vt.忍受，后面可以加abuse, hardship, inconvenience, insult, misery, nightmare, ordeal,pain, period, persecution, ridicule, stress, suffering, torture criticism, consequence, loss....
vi.持续，前面可以加friendship, culture, system, habit, cooperation....
·enduring: adj.持久的
